If your standard daiquiri is acidic, bright, and clean, this is the black sheep of the family - mapley, deep, and full-bodied. Great as an easy digestif or dessert pairing.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Makes 1 cocktail
1 oz black rum (I used Cruzan Black Strap)
1 oz gold rum (I used Bacardi Gold)
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 dash angostura bitters
Lime twist for garnish
1.) Place the brown sugar in the bottom of a cocktail shaker, and "season" with bitters. Add black and gold rums and fresh lime juice. Fill your shaker with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds. Strain up into a martini glass or on the rocks and garnish with a lime twist.
