LITTLE BIRD

If you're in the mood for something a little fruiter, give this one a shot. It's light, well-balanced, and looks great while you're drinking it. Pineapple and strawberry make it like a little vacation in a glass, while St. Germain gives it a floral lift. Pick up some fresh fruit and get to muddling.

Prep time: 20 minutes

Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients:

1+1/2 oz gin â €
1/4 oz St. Germain â €
1/2 oz lemon juice â €
1/4 oz simple syrup (or to taste if your fruit is under-ripe)â €
2 one-inch pineapple cubesâ €
1 large strawberry, quarteredâ €
Pineapple frond for garnishâ €

Instructions:

1.) To make your simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water on the stove and heat on medium, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

2.) Add pineapple and strawberry pieces to your cocktail shaker with simple syrup and lemon juice. Muddle the fruit by pressing it in quarter turns to release the ~juices~. Add gin and St. Germain and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until very cold. Double strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a pineapple frond. Enjoy :)
