NEGRONI SBAGLIATO
The "Sbagliato," Italian for "mistaken", was born out of a bartender accidentally grabbing a bottle of sparkling wine when he reached for gin to make a Negroni. His mistake is now a classic aperitivo that combines bitter, sweet, and bubbly for a perfect pre-dinner (or pre-bunch) drink. Like a classic Negroni, it follows a 1:1:1 recipe, making it as easy to remember as it is delicious.
Prep time: 3 minutes
Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
1 oz sweet vermouth (I use Carpano Antica Formula)
1 oz Campari
1 oz sparkling wine (I use Prosecco)
1 dash of orange bitters (optional)
Orange peel for garnish
Instructions:
1.) Fill a rocks glass with ice and pour in vermouth, Campari, sparkling wine, and bitters. Gently stir to combine (don't go crazy; we want it to stay fizzy). Garnish with an orange peel and enjoy!
